Abstract

Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women. This disease and its treatment management will cause sufferers to experience changes both physically, mentally, and socially where this series of problems will affect the individual's self-concept. The purpose of this study was to identify the self-concept of cervical cancer sufferers. The research design used was descriptive retrospective. The number of samples in the study was 20 cervical cancer sufferers in several health centers in Surabaya. The research instrument was modified based on the Robson Self Concept (RSC) questionnaire. Data analysis used frequency distribution and the results were 12 people (60%) of respondents had a positive self-concept which included body image, ideal self, self-esteem, self-role and self-identity.
