Abstract

This study is values of character educational in the Good Dinosaur Movie. The purpose of this study is to find out and describe the types of values of character educational conveyed in the Good Dinosaur movie. This research was conducted by applying the descriptive qualitative method. The research procedure was watching, collecting, classifying, and selecting which can be repeat many times to ensure the data. The researcher used 18 types of values of character education, as stated in the KEMENDIKNAS formulation. This study discovered thirteen values of character education, they are: appreciating achievement, hard work, tolerance, friendly or communicative, discipline, independent, creative, love and peace, curiosity, patriotism, sociality, honest, and responsibility. It can be concluded that media such as movie can be used to teach children values of character education.
